Glasses from Dr. Specs Are the Best

I've had my current glasses from Dr Specs for about 5 months now. I've been wearing glasses for 57 years. I have very poor eyesight without glasses, pretty much blind. These glasses I have now from Dr Specs are the best I can remember ever having. The lens accuracy is superb as is the fit. My previous glasses were bought online. What a difference! Sure you pay more, but it's your sight, which is kind of important. It's worth getting it fitted (lens and frame) by a pro.

Great Experience Overall

Money well spent! The staff answered all my questions and more. The eye exam was very thorough and very interesting. They made sure that I was aware of every option available, but did not once push for a sale. I was not just a number at this store. And....This place is spotless. (remember to wear your mask.) Just a great experience overall. Can't believe I found frames here as well.

I would recommend Dr Specs to everyone! They are great in every way. I am very thankful for squeezing me in as emergency. When they thought they couldn't help me the owner went above and beyond by calling other places on my behalf. I'm amazed at the service that was provided. Seeing So Much Better

Vision of Kindness

Kindness and compassion are alive at a local business, Dr. Specs Optical, owned by Debbie Ranger.

My mom is 97 years old and is in a wheelchair. Mom needed new glasses and when we have gone to our Optometrist in the past, I have had to take her in a taxi that has room for the wheelchair and needed a volunteer to help me.

This time she would not go. It’s just too hard on her. It’s frightening for her as well, when she has to leave the comfort of her room at Village By The Station.

I went to see Debbie Ranger and she said she would help me. Debbie took 3 frames over to Mom’s so she could try them on and pick the ones she liked; and when she did, they looked good on her. Debbie sent for Mom’s prescription and sent the frames away, and when the glasses came back Debbie took them to Mom to fit and adjust them for her.

Debbie has gone back to make a small adjustment, and my mom now has glasses that are a perfect fit. We are so grateful to you Debbie. I cannot thank you enough.

Fixed My Favourite Sunglasses Instantly!

I went to put on my favourite sunglasses this morning when I was out walking and realized that one of the "arms" had detached due to the screw being out. I went into Dr. Specs Optical and Debbie was SO helpful to fix these for me. She was patient when working on them and cleaned them up for me. I really appreciated how kind she was and am thrilled that she was able to fix them. Thank you Debbie for helping me! :)

Highly Recommend Dr. Specs Optical

To buy online or not to? I would have come out $200 cheaper if I had purchased online, so what's that $200 extra paying for? It's paying for Deb who runs this joint to provide me with an amazing customer service experience and eyewear glasses.

A bit about my experience and tips for you:

Deb listened to my goal with what situation the glasses were for and how I wanted to feel.
She asked me the right questions when I was trying them on to guide me to a style and colour.
What's on the wall is not the whole inventory! Deb went into the backroom, through her catalogs with vendors and even called up other eyewear stores knowing who had what inventory.
After 4 visits totaling 2.5h of service we found the right pair for me. By comparison I spent probably two full days (16h) researching glasses online and going through catalogs with no success. How much more would I have spent returning glasses to online retailers that I didn't like?
It was easier and Deb is a professional always punctual with followup phone calls and not wasting my time when I come in. How much is the time and headache worth to you? For me, it was more than worth it.

Thank you for the wonderful care we received from the staff and the Doctor. I brought both my kids in this week. The doctor was great with them, especially my kid with autism. The doctor had a lot of patience with him and made him comfortable. The eye exam was a huge success. Thank you again for the great care, friendly service.
